Nicole Patterson, CMT & CMLD
I love the world of natural health and am a passionate advocate for holistic healing. I’m fascinated by the human body and a strong believer in the healing potential of well intentioned touch. I have been drawn to massage since a young age, an early memory of mine is of massaging my parents’ necks and shoulders, finding it interesting that I could feel the tension move out of their bodies.
Deep tissue work had always been my bodywork go-to, yet during my formal education I experienced how a gentle touch can have a profound impact on the body. One of the most transformative experiences I had was during a craniosacral session, when a sacrum adjustment helped align my hips—which have been tilted for much of my life. The touch it took for this adjustment was almost imperceptible! This was pivotal in my career path, as it encouraged me to seek out gentle touch modalities, ultimately leading me to Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD). I have been astounded by the benefits I’ve seen from this practice - from the reduction of persistent edema, to the relief of sinus pressure, and symptoms of chronic allergy sufferers, including me. Lake Tahoe is an active community and MLD can offer great support for sports injuries and post-op procedures, helping get you back to doing what you love.
With extensive training in lymphatic health and anatomy, I bring a personalized, compassionate, client-centered approach to every treatment. I graduated from the Massage Therapy Institute in Davis with a massage therapy certificate and continued my education to receive a Manual Lymph Drainage Certificate from the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. I am committed to providing the highest standard of care by staying up-to-date with the latest advances in lymphatic health and manual therapy, through continuous learning and professional growth.
