Meet Jamie Miller, LAc

Jamie joined us in late fall as our newest licensed acupuncturist here at Elevate.

She made the move to Tahoe, via Philadelphia and Portland, after graduating with a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, in 2015, the same school Melinda Choy studied at.

Jamie specializes in sports injuries, orthopedic acupuncture and pain management.

Say goodbye to aches and pains with targeted TCM techniques during acupuncture sessions, including cuppinggua sha, and bodywork practices that are designed to therapeutically relieve stress and tension.

We asked Jamie a few questions so that we — and you — could get to know her better.

1. Why did you move to Tahoe?

I moved to Tahoe for this job, as well as in response to a recent realization: I absolutely have to live in a place where I am immersed in an environment filled with accessible nature. My favorite part of living here is being able to access the lake, forest, fresh air, and beautiful vistas every day!

2. What is the most rewarding thing about the work you do?

I love creating a trusting relationship with patients, and helping to facilitate their experience along a path toward an optimal state of well being.

3. What are your morning routine essentials?

Coffee, coconut sugar and ghee!

4. When you’re not at Elevate, where can you be found?

Hanging out with my dog Bowie, going on hikes around Tahoe, making bone broth, having a glass of wine or cider, being very silly and laughing a lot!
