Change is Coming in 2025

Winter has arrived and the Water element is amongst us. We are into our darkest days where our Qi is responding by diving deeper into our body to take rest, restore and to prepare us for spring. We have an opportunity to learn more about our bodies needs by observing the natural environment. Living closer and aligning ourselves to the change of seasons can guide us through the changes. This is an opportune time to let our body rest, to go inward and support our nervous system. The darkness allows us to have longer rest periods to have more introspection.

My personal health journey is aligning with this winter where I will be required to take some time off to treat thyroid cancer. In the past few months, I’ve been able to evaluate how to best care for myself while still being available for my patients. This is requiring some changes at Elevate to best continue to serve our community.

My goal for my transition out as well as my return is to offer high caliper health programs that utilize the knowledge I’ve gained over the past 20 years of practice. In the near future, I will only be offering Functional Wellness services in which I blend the modern practice of functional medicine with traditional chinese medicine and acupuncture. This will give me the ability to utilize all my tools during the time I have with my patients so that I can provide individualized focused treatments. Caylea Borges, CNS will be joining me in tailoring nutritional guidance and support for my patients.

What is Functional Wellness…

Functional Wellness services include a deep dive of health and personal history, conventional and functional lab testing including gut microbiome testing, Organic acids testing, Dutch tests, food allergy testing and more. During that time I can create protocols to guide my patients into a transformational wellness program. Working with less patients will help me provide goal driven care as well as be more punctual with my time.

Our new rates for acupuncture start on January 1. The new rates for Functional Wellness services will begin on my return from medical leave of absence.

There are many ways to continue to work with Melida Choy and our other providers at Elevate. Feel free to call the front desk to set up a time to discuss your future care with Melinda or our front office staff.

Continued care with Acupuncture

At Elevate we have a team of acupuncturists that are employees of elevate giving the unique ability for easy continuation of care between providers. Our acupuncturists have access to all patient charts including treatment notes, past protocols and patient care team meetings, so your providers have all the resources to continue your care as you have grown to expect.

"Hi everyone, I'm Ashley, one of the acupuncturists here at Elevate. With Melinda taking some time out of the office, I look forward to meeting her patients and collaborating with her in your continuation of care. My goal is that you continue to feel seen, heard, and supported throughout your health journey.

The main approach I take with my treatments is regulating the nervous system which in turn helps you to have better sleep, better stress management, lower inflammation in the body, better digestion, regulated menstrual cycles, and a better chance of conceiving. If you're struggling with any of the above, I'd love to be a part of your health care team."
